When we speak of a “yeast” infection, what we usually mean is infection with a specific fungus, Candida Albicans. Virtually all of us have “colonies” of this usually harmless yeast fungus, living peacefully in our intestinal tract (and vaginal tract in women). Yeast feeds on sugars and food high in sugar. Diets with plenty of vegetables, nuts, grains, fish, fowl, and drinking lots of water to flush, will help you fight Candida. Normally, it does no harm, because it is kept in check by beneficial bacteria, flora. These bacteria, however, can be destroyed by birth control pills, antibiotics, cortisone drugs, poor diet and stress. When this occurs, Candida can grow out of control. Candida causes problems by releasing toxins into the bloodstream. These toxins trigger many discomforts, including localized (primarily vaginal) itching, depression, irritability, dizziness, unclear thinking, difficulty focusing, extreme fatigue, loss of memory, gas, bloating, diarrhea, constipation, extreme weight gain or loss, ect. It is estimated that Candida overgrowth effects up to 100 million Americans. For many years, the mainstays in controlling Candida have been anti-fungal drugs or herbs. But these agents have limitations. First, some may cause liver damage. Second, as they poison the yeast, the yeast releases even more toxins, which cause healing crises (Herxheimer reactions). And, third, yeasts can develop resistance to them, so that they lose their effect. With the advent of digestive enzymes, a new tool against Candida has emerged. Since Candida’s cell wall is made largely of cellulose, Cellulase enzymes “digest” it. As this digestion breaks down the yeast’s cell wall, the yeast dies. Cellulase enzymes do not harm the liver, and are also safe in every way. Further, because the enzymes do not cause the release of toxins, you’ll begin to feel better almost at once, and with no healing crisis whatsoever.
Purpose: To destroy Candida in the intestinal tract before it can enter the bloodstream. This means the Candida is controlled and eliminated in a much safer manner than through other means. In doing so, Candida Formula controls the effects of systemic Candida such as: fatigue, rash, cold sores, lowered immune function and Irritable Bowel Syndrome.
Ingredients:
Cellulase Enzymes: breaks down cellulose (fiber) and chitin (cell wall of Candida).
Lactobacillus Acidophilus: probiotic micro flora.
Lactobacillus Sporogenes: probiotic micro flora.
Protease: breaks down protein.
Suggested Usage: 2 capsules per day. One in morning and one in evening, with or without food. One capsule per day for maintenance use.
